Back To The Homestead Again

City streets driving round the corner.

All the bars are starting to close

One more night headed for the border

Pack up my guitars and my clothes.

I’m headed for the next adventure

Playing with a kick ass band

Three nights then I’m off again

Back to the homestead I will roam.

Got a wife two kids and a dog.

It will take a few days for me to unwind.

Spend my time loving my people

They make it worth it all the time.

When its time for me to go again

It’s only for a short while.

Ten days around the world tour

Back to the homestead (AGAIN) I will roam

I’m headed for the next adventure

Gonna take the kids to the zoo

Walk the dog late evenings with my wife

For now this is my kind of life.

Whatever it may be.

For the music always moves me
